Post by

We are thrilled to announce our selection into the BioCreate Program by Ontario Genomics. This marks a significant milestone in our journey, underscoring our innovative efforts in creating AI-powered digital infrastructure to bolster the bioeconomy in Canada and worldwide.

The BioCreate Program: A catalyst for growth

The BioCreate Program, supported by Ontario Genomics and the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario), is designed to boost the growth of biotech companies by providing essential resources, including financial support, business mentorship, and access to critical infrastructure. Over the next 18 months, we are offered opportunities to pitch to investors, aiming to push forward innovative solutions in health, food and agriculture, and cleantech industries.

Recognition for Scispot's mission

Elizabeth Gray, the BioCreate Program Director, shares, "The goal of BioCreate is to help the best Ontario biotech startups grow their businesses not just to make them more successful and create jobs, but also to get their innovative technologies and products to market faster so Ontarians – and the rest of the world – can benefit from them."

We are honored to be among the four biotech innovators, including AuX Labs, Genuine Taste, and mDETECT, excelling among 33 applicants to join 12 startups in health, food, agriculture, and clean technology that entered the BioCreate program last year. This honor highlights our profound contribution to the biotech field.

Scispot backed by best of biotech

Receiving backing from local Ontario-based accelerators and organizations like the Velocity (University of Waterloo) Fund, the Ontario Centre of Innovation (OCI), Ontario Bioscience Innovation Organization (OBIO), and earning recognition by CIX as one of the top 20 Canadian startups, we cement our leadership role in the biotech industry.

Commitment to expanding biotech innovation

"Being selected for the BioCreate program is a privilege, allowing us to contribute to Ontario's expanding biotech influence. Thanks to support from Ontario Genomics and the Government of Canada, we're committed to developing the best digital infrastructure for the next wave of biotech companies in Canada and globally," states Guru Singh, our Founder and CEO.
