Scispot 2.0 is here!

Last year, our founders were possessed by the energizing spirit of entrepreneurship. They left their well-paying jobs so they could fully devote their time and energy to understanding the pains life science companies work through to save, improve, and enhance human life.

We interviewed over 120 life science companies all over the world. It was clear that they often have no choice but to rely on a laundry list of tools to stay up and running. Electronic lab notebooks, LIMS, Google Docs, Asana, and Airtable are just some of the tools that are used out of necessity. We asked ourselves: What if you could create a no-code life science operating platform so companies can ditch the juggling act and instead fully operate their company in one spot with connected data and automated workflows. That's how Scispot was born.

Within 4 months of our official launch, Scispot has become the digital partner of a wide range of life science companies that focus on lab-grown meat, biomanufacturing, biotherapeutics R&D, mass spectrometry research, animal safety studies, and microbiome research.

In collaboration with our early customers, we have been enhancing our platform on a weekly basis. Today, we are proud to announce the result of our tireless efforts —Scispot 2.0. This improved version of Scispot has a more advanced sample manager that lets you track the entire journey of your samples from labeling, creating aliquots and derivatives to running experiments and preparing reports.

With this new update, we now offer APIs for developers and data engineers to plug in existing systems. For instance, customers can easily integrate their batch runs and inventory into their legacy systems using Scispot’s API.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
